Not a good idea ... the father is not best portrayed in this film

That's probably one of the worst Fathers Day gifts. It's not a very father friendly film. Try something more like Top Gun or Braveheart. Dads like noise.

You should watch it first and then determine by the taste of your father that you know. How do we know what your dad likes? If you don't know what he likes, why don't you give him the best gift of all, your time. Q.T. (Quality Time) beats all gifts.
