The fraudulent results put the people that created them in power, it would be up to the people in power to prosecute themselves for what they did. What are the odds of that happening?

Hmmm...I'm reaching here, but I'll say it's because there was none. In order to prosecute, a crime has to be committed.
To those who still live under the fantasy that Bush was "appointed" or "selected" in the 2000 election, I submit the following argument:
Imagine yourself as a journalist working for a mainstream media outlet. Go ahead, pick one. ABC, NBC, CBS, the New York Times, Washington Post, CNN, Time magazine, Newsweek, any one you like. Got one? OK, let's rewind history a bit, to the point where Florida Secretary of State Katherine Harris announces that she's certifying Bush as the winner of the state, ballots are being recounted again, and your employer sends you down there to check it out for yourself. If you discovered that Gore had actually won the popular vote in Florida, you'd make sure everyone knew it, wouldn't you? Such a story would certainly be front-page news across the country, wouldn't it? But no story ever appeared. Why? Because after all the recounts, Bush STILL won, even when the media looked for themselves. So no, the election wasn't "stolen" from you. Get over it already.

Probably because there isn't any evidence to show any misconduct. Truth is that in any election, some votes won't get counted for many reasons, on both sides of the political spectrum.
In 2000 Gore couldn't accept this. He was asking for countless recounts only in counties that are highly democratic. He didn't care if every vote was counted in highly republican counties. He wanted to try and round up as many votes that were in his favor. The Supreme Court put a stop to his the recount after recount after recount cycle Gore put America through. Which is why the man is a laughing stock and has zero credibility in America.

The U.S. Supreme court did not have a 5-4 vote in overturning the Florida Supreme Court's illegal re-writing of election law.
The vote was 7-2. (Same as your great Roe v Wade)... Seven justices voted that what the FLorida Supreme court did was illegal and unconstitutional. Two of those U.S. Justices, however, while admitting that the Florida court acted illegally, thought that the various deadlines should be extended in this case, that's where the 5-4 misnomer comes in. In other words, two of the U.S justices said "yes, the FL supreme court did an illegal thing, but we think it was the right thing to do anyway...so we're overturning them on the basis of the law, but we agree with their stand in principle".
Jeb Bush had nothing to do with counting the votes...that was all done by LOCAL officials (every county has both Repubicans and Democrats involved in the vote counting process). Katherine Harris, likewise, has nothing to do with vote counting.... all she does, as Sec of State, is total the vote counts given to her by each county, and certify that those were the results she received. She did just that...
Where's the misconduct, loser?
to the other idiot using rollingstone as their source...guess what? Look at what CNN says about the recount:
http://www.cnn.com/SPECIALS/2001/florida.ballots/stories/main.html
The headline is "Florida recount study: Bush still wins"
Hahahahaha... get over it, loser! And be prepared for another shellacking this November :-)
Loser!

Might be the fact that George's brother, Jeb, was and is the deciding Governor. I mean if your brother's votes were that close wouldn't you make it so the Supreme Court Justices that George placed there would make the decisions on what is a hanging chad or not? It only missed by 1 vote in the Supreme Court.
Aw, who knows if it would have been any better because we may not have gone to war because of no bad info about WMD, or might have put a stop to illegal immigration or had a faster response in New Orleans.

It is not over yet.
Once we win in 2006 we will have subpoena power, able to bring the truth to light.
Repug control means no accountabilty. The information is out there, that the governer knew they were going to knock off voters who weren't fellons. They wanted to add even more names.
and all will be revealed. for not just 2000 but 2004.
The people who claim bush won in the recount are being dishonest. What they mean is he won 5 to 4 in the supreme court.

Palm Beach County election officials are all democrats. It's politically incorrect to prosecute a democrat until their 3rd murder. Why do you think OJ is still walking around?

This is such a tired, old question. There was not crime. The votes in Florida were counted and recounted so many times, even by the media I believe. Do you think it is possible to move on? You are really stuck in the past!

Oh my gosh! Some people just can't take defeat! It's 2006 - it's settled. Get some real tactics together and change it in 2008 but stop the whining and the bleeding it's so unbecoming...
Btw, I can't believe some actually quoted "Rolling Stone" magazine as a source... waaa ha hahahahahahaha...

Why do you insist on living in the past? If, and I hope you don't, you get your chance in 2008 to show the "repuglicans" (God, that's a stupid word" how to run a country, you won't do any better. Yeah, '08 is shaping up to be a real high-brow race that will restore the people's faith in the office of president.
