Because they are! That's why every other race has guys trying to "act black." Black guys have been labeled as the epitemy of cool since the 70's. Rock and Roll, Jazz, Blues, Reggae, Rap, all the coolest genres of music of the last half century have been invented by black guys. Plus, so many of them are good dancers.

Not all black guys think that way. You'll find people in any group that think they are cool ... whites, blacks, Hispanics, religious groups, etc. You really shouldn't try to define an entire group on the basis of the actions of a few members.

It follows along the same lines as any other race on this world.....due to media infriction on the lives of people, thinking a black person can better themselves from a white person and it's that persona or ego-tistical thinking that subjugates their self-esteem. Therefore they act like that....just another phase in life...

That's because your media portrays them in that way. Hip hop r'n'b and other such matters, brainwash their minds and think that they are better or project themselves as being cooler and act accordingly. Alas, they waste their potential in trying to be someone they will never be (ex some sort of rapper)

I'm a 25 year old black woman, and me and my friends still haven't figured this out. Our best guess: a lot of them are actually insecure about themselves and therefore disguise it by being boastful and egotistical.
