Nashville, Tennessee.
Its such a beautiful place. 4 seasons. Pro sports teams. Country Music Hall of Fame. Grand Ole Opry.. of course its not all about country music..Cost of living isnt a killer. Constantly improving. Its pretty awesome.

okay obviously i'm not very good at promoting anything, but I still think Nashville is the best :]]

Good question. =]

I would highly recommend the Pacific North West. Any of either San Fransisco, Portland or Seattle. I haven't been to SF, but heard nice things. Also that it is expensive. Portland is a really cool smaller city with a lot of great attractions and relatively cheap. Unfortunately the job market is a bit saturated for recent grads. Seattle is also a really cool city with a great culture. I don't know how it compares to NYC but it struck me as a bit expensive there. In Ballard (which is a trendy neighborhood now) a cheap studio goes around $800. Good luck.

To stay for a visit or to live in? You didn't say which you meant. The best place to live is where ever you can be best employed. Any place sucks if you haven't got money!! If you mean on vacation; it would be a place that has the most stuff that interests you. Don't go mountain climbing if you're afraid of heights, if you get what I mean-LOL. I don't think you would enjoy the ocean much if you were afraid of water either...

San Francisco, CA. It is the perfect combination of beautiful city and nature sites (you can see San Francisco, plus do wine tasting in Napa Valley to the North and see beautiful coastal scenery in Carmel, Santa Cruz and Monterey to the South).

Seattle is really nice - but since I've only been to select cities in the US, i couldn't really say. Though I really like NYC.
