I know someone who has recently become, what she says is a hippie. This person lives and breathes sports. Are hippies allowed to play sports, or is it against their "peaceful" beliefs?

I was a teenager in the 70's and I haven't heard that word in years. Are "hippies" making a comeback? The hippies back in my day were totally against any type of organized or competitive activities, so a hippie who "lives and breathes sports" wouldn't be what I remembered. But sure, she can call herself whatever she wants and do whatever she wants. It's a free country.

It depends what sport.
Wrestling is not peaceful man.
Water sports? I surf, windsurf, swim, and it is a zen thing for me.
However, I like to watch someone get their arrse kicked, like in boxing, so, whatever works for you is what your going for.
Also, I am curious, how does one 'become' a hippie?

As long as they consider it just playing your hippie friend should be fine.

No!

There are official rules on the books which prohibit this.

They did make an exception for Bill Walton though.
