PEOPLE! This girl is asking for ADVICE on STYLE not her self-esteem or "how to build creativity in 10 days".
Vintage has been really "in" the past 2 years, which mainly started around the end of winter 2005. People expected it to just come and go but now it's a constant trend especially in the west.
Vintage clothing started re-appearing when hollywood models and designers re-invented the idea and then soon celebrities started wearing vintage and then it was a boom. The designers probably got it from Europe, where they just mix-n-match anything they see.
And you see big/small pearl necklaces and bows and stripes and big earrings and flats and leggings all over now. Also; big shades and big totes and ripped jeans.
I don't know if this trend will still be around by fall; but from looking at how far it's gone, I'd say there will be more to it and more mixing things and re-inventing things from the past. Hey, old becomes new doesn't it?
Like white stripes on teal betty polos, or red casual tops with striped flowy skirts with the colorful hairbands.
For shoes; I'd say the Converse have been matched with some of these outfits and flats.. and sometimes the shoes w/ the laces that straps around your ankle but Uggs have been out of style lately.
Well-- I hope this helps!

Business-type clothing is comeing in...black pinstripe capri pants
pairing these with a mixture of black/whites and tan colors are becoming really popular, especially when splashing some bright colors like red in there occasionally
also, i've noticed a wide variety of long flowing shirts have been coming in
I work for Dots Fashons...this is what is 'in' now at our stores

I agree with the above answer the preppy look is in. Sailor look is in too. For the summer at least. But put your own look together for personal style. Cuffed and bermuda shorts are the looks that are in. Madras, espadrilles and full body bathing suits for summer. Flats, boat shoes, polos, and sweaters for fall.

it really depends on what you like. You shouldn't dress how everyone else is dressing just because you want to be "in" be your own person. I think it looks better to be different than to be just like everyone else. but the hobo chic style is still in, bermuda shorts, the preppy look with the popped collar, kind of beachy clothes, big necklaces and jewelery. but you should really dress how you want to dress not how the magazines tell you to!

I dunno, but I dont follow those stupid trends. I am more punk, but I still like wearing polos every now and then. I wear etnies and DC's so I guess, well again, I dunno. Gauchos are rapidly growing here.Everyone at least has one pair. I have 9. Well. be yourself and don't waste your time caring what other people wear because the biggest reward and biggest trend is being yourself.
