As I am in favour of getting rid of the entire collection of Royals I am probably not the best person to answer this...
I think we should all have a go at being monarch for a week and it could be televised, if youa re rubbish you get voted straight out if you are good you get an extra week.
It could be called One's Big Brother.

Queen-Trust me...even if you don't, I can assure you that "something" negative comes from talk like that-"I Know 2nd-hand, I've seen it-&-heard it-
No names mentioned: "Big-Ears" somehow got whiff of a "mere" civilian calling him that name-I'm also not in a position to say "what the repurcussions were" (NO, the person was not hung,strung and quartered-in fact, the "repurcussions" were merely verbal AND not even "from" the Royal Faqmily)-In my opinion, I LOVED the late, GREAT Queen Mum-Now THAT'S CLASS ROYALTY WITH THE COMBINATION OF EMPATHY AND COMPASSION. (Hey, if it were not for Queen MUM, God rest her soul, there would never be a "walk-about", which was HIGHLY a sore-topic in the Royal Family back then, but she was QUEEN, and "a walk-about" she wanted, a "walk-about" tradition she started-and "hey, WHAT WOULD WE DO TODAY WITH-"OUT" A WALK-ABOUT???-LOL) SOME of her compassion, wit, and genuine empathy surely is in her daughter, our Queen, today-Besides, look at the mental-picture for a moment-A)-Our Queen now, AND "all" that she has done(no comment on "that" point)-then look at "CHARLES"???-Would the crown even sit properly on his head?-Anyway, I feel "Us mere Civilian/peasants" will NOT want Charles anyway-TOO much brushed under the rug-Now Wills-HE is good King material-That's my opinion only!!!

She's far more respectable than most "famous" people - and a positive public figurehead for a country who's got a creep of a Prime Minister.
I'm sure the world would hate us far more if we didn't have the Royal family doing all their good charity work and PR.

I think they should just skip Prince Charles and have Prince William become King when the time comes. At least Wills is normal, unlike his father who actually cheated on someone as beautiful and sweet as Diana with someone like Camilla... There's no accounting for taste, apparently...

Good call my friend. But I think it is time the monarchy was done away with, they're just a drain on our expenses and their popularity hit the toilet over the whole issue of Diana's death which I believe to have been no accident.

i think that theres no point in having a queen i mean what do they do for god sake apart from have to birthday get hundreds of gifts and flowers and have people line the streets for u if u ask me its a life long holiday and thers no use for them BUT on the other hand they bring wealth into the country but i dont relly care long live the queen hurray!!......... :I

Think about all the problems it would cause. First the national anthem would be "god save the king", all our currency would have to change to put Charles face on it all (that would be weird), stamps would need to change as well. Although i believe we get a day off when she dies so every cloud and all that.....
