Yes! I was just saying that season 2 writers have been doing a fantastic job then they go and ruin it all with the worst 45 mins of tv I've seen in my life. Doesn't help I find Peter Kay as funny as slamming my d*** in a door but the 'person' that was sat in front of the camera that whole episode had the charm and charisma of a steaming pile of horse.... well you get the picture. Lets hope it was just a 1 off and they don't let any other horribly unfunny 'comedians' be in Dr Who just because they beg to do so.....

I am a big Doctor Who fan and an even bigger Peter Kay fan but that episode was enough to put me off both of those for life!
I just dont get it, was it meant to be funny or what?
Marc Warren is a very good actor, how could he lower himself to such dross!?
What a pants storyline, why the heck does the Dr keep coming back to earth all the time? That takes the mystery out of it.
And what the heck was that red bucket blue bucket running around scooby doo style gag all about?
I will have to tune in on Saturday night to see if it redeems itself!

I was upset when they didn't show the Doctor a lot, but I thought it was a light-hearted episode, aside from the fact that his friends were being absorbed, and his lover is a head on a pavement.
Anyway, it was a bit foreshadowey, if that's a word, because he said at the end that whoever touches the Doctor gets hurt, or something along those lines, hinting at Rose's departure.

I was really disappointed too. I save up Dr Who on tape and wait for the perfect 45 mins to watch (sad or what?). This week's was crap. I had to keep checking to make sure it WAS Dr Who and not someone's idea of a joke. And why do David (YUM) and Billie need a break anyway? They've hardly been at it for years without a break.
I hope it was just a glitch and not a taste of what's to come...

No, I don't agree. I think it showed inventiveness, humour and a willingness to think outside the box (if you'll pardon the expression). Not for Dr. Who purists, perhaps, but let's face it, you're not exactly in the majority. And David Tennant is marvellous as the Doctor.

i agree it was the worst episode that i have seen ever. peter kay should have made it good, but the whole episode was twisted round a wierd way.
can cope with the absorbing thing but what was with the wrong bucket and chasing that thing around.
please DO NOT employ who ever wrote it to write any more.

i hate Dr who but love Peter Kay so i watched it. Best thing in it was Danny from hustle (Marc Warren). Everything that guy does is gold. Green Street being the best example

Trying to give Tennant & Piper a break I guess.
They've done this a few times in past episodes of Doctor Who.
