No, all the countries that made up the Soviet Union will never be back together. But I believe all the countries that make up the Soviet Union will eventually get better. Mainly Russia, they are already showing great signs of improvement.

No, but de-sovietisation caused a lot of destabilization within the former Soviet controlled countries. Just shows how powerful a force the nation state is, considering that some of those Soviet controlled countries lost independance after the first world war. Pride in ones country has a long memory.

No, the countries that made up the Soviet Union have their own contitutions, economies, etc and are really trying to get back their old cultures that had been supressed for so long. New border conflicts wouldn't surprise me, but with these countries having deep resentment towards the "old regime" as my grampa called it, I doubt it.

I sincerely hope not. Seventy-two years of communism caused nothing but misery for Russians and the citizens of all the other states forced into the union. I think now that they are all free, it is a case of 'Better dead than red'.
