I can't help you not get the yellow stains, but I can tell you how to get them out. Mix 1 cup of white vinegar and 1/2 gal. of water. Soak the stained item overnight then wash as usual. Don't use hot water for your laundry if you use bleach. Bleach and hot water can make some things yellow. Use warm. Hope this helps.

I use a bleach alternative when doing my laundry. It works great for keeping whites white. And I don't have to worry about the fabrics getting ruined from using too much bleach (bleach can cause yellowing of whites). Or you could try a detergent with a whitening product already in it.

If you're talking about armpit stains...when you buy new white shirts use a little Fels Naptha-you can get it at the grocery store usually-and soap it up and rub it into the armpits. It creates a barrier between the deodorant and your clothes. Also use some spray and wash when you do laundry.

Soak in Clorox and water for approximately 30 minutes and then wash in full cycle. This can be done with all your whites. But make sure it is Clorox brand. A lot of the others do not work at all. Cheap imitations.

Bleach!!! It's a miracle worker, it really is. If there is colour on your white clothing, get some colour-safe bleach and just leave your piece of clothing in it for 5-10 minutes, and scrub if necessary, voila!

You might be getting stains from sulfurous water or rust from your washing machine. In this case you might want to go to a laundramat for your whites, or need a new washer/dryer. Otherwise, it's bleach bleach bleach!
