With a genuine smile.
While looking at the other to see what that person wants. Does that person feel like greeting? If that person seems to be grumpy, can you handle the hi not being returned. You wouldn't expect it or that would make you defensive. But you wouldn't expect it from yourself either. If the other doesn't seem friendly, forget it and don't worry about it. It is nothing owed. It is a split second decision because every meeting with another is a different experience.

Best way to say hello to someone, is to first maintain eye-contact with them. Smile and say hello. so, that the person really feels that u have just not completed a formality, u actually really are happy to meet them

well if its sum1 u miss alot u may start crying but in a case of a dear friend youd say u miss um alot and want them to come home.
