There's no cure for certain kinds of "stupidity," which seem to be part of the human condition. We're not rational creatures, really. Or at least we're not consistently so. For some good theoretical work on our limitations, look up 'Daniel Kahneman' and 'Amos Tversky' on your search-engine-of-choice.

The link below will take you to a Wikipedia article that discusses one of the irrational behaviors cognitive scientists like Kahneman & Tversky identified.

That depends on your definintion of stupid. If your refering to low IQ, then it is difficult to improve such stupidity, but not impossible. The best treatment is to keep people of each IQ catagory in an environment with people of similar intelligence, and selectively breed the intelligent ones to boost the potential of the human race.
If your referring to smart people that do dumb things, say dumb things, think dumb things, I might point out that the smartest people on the planet elect members of government that have average IQs, yet do, say and think very dumb things that define the laws that these smart people must abide by. Does that sound like a smart strategy? We all have our moments of stupidity, and maany of us don't learn from our mistakes (i'm one of them), and that's what makes us human. We are perfect beings, made in the image and likeness of God, then forgot our perfection and incarnated on earth to experience remembering our perfection, and experiencing the process of returning to a state of perfection. The people that enjoy experiencing the human condition are repeatedly making mistakes, and the ones that long to reunite with God and remember being perfect learn and improve as a result of their mistakes. The odd 1 or 2 is aware of their perfection and wishes to become imperfect for the second or third time in one life to enjoy experiencing the process of remembering again.
Stupidity is not a bad, evil or negative thing, because in the absense of what is not, what is could never be, so without stupidity, there would be no perfection, no intelligence, and no improvement from one to the other. If you don't like stupidity for yourself, praise all the people you see day to day that are stupid for providing you an example of what you choose not to be, thereby giving you motivation to work toward perfection and intelligence for yourself, if thats what you want. complaining will get you more feelings of being the victim and depression. Please continue doing that i that is what you want for your psyche to experience. people have been put in mental institutions for less. Is that what you want?

The fear of the Lord!

But where shall wisdom be found? And where is the place of understanding? Man does not know the price of it; nor is it found in the land of the living. The deep says, It is not in me; and the sea says, It is not in me. Pure gold cannot be given in its stead, and silver be weighed as its price. It cannot be weighed against the gold of Ophir, against precious onyx, or sapphire; gold and the crystal cannot equal it, nor can it be exchanged for a vessel of fine gold. No mention shall be made of coral, or of pearls; and the price of wisdom is above rubies. The topaz of Ethiopia cannot equal it; it cannot be weighed against pure gold. From where then does wisdom come, and where is the place of understanding? Yea, it is hidden from the eyes of all living, and hidden from the birds of the heavens. The place of ruin and death say, We have heard the fame of it with our ears.

God understands the way of it, and He knows its place. For He looks to the end of the earth, and sees under all the heavens; making a weight for the winds, and measuring out the waters by measure. When He made a decree for the rain, and a way for the lightning to thunder; then He saw it, and declared it; He prepared it, yea, and searched it out. And to man He said, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom! And to depart from evil is understanding!

Why cure it? Life would be such a drag if people knew all the answers all the time. We would have absolutely no need for comedians.

Psychology and philosophy classes from an early age- seriously I think that it would enable kids to think more about the world and as they grow up help them understand the world and people in it. The more we can understand the world and our own behaviour the better it should be.

There is no cure. And you are definitely in the wrong place if you're looking for one.

I propose everyone in the world take an iq test, and if you score below a certain percentage you should be made sterile.
