To put it shortly, no, I don't think it is worth the time. I would rather pay the money than to sit through the presentation.
Generally they say the presentation only takes 90 minutes. I have done two (actually interested at the time) and never was out in less than 5 hours. You first have to tour their condo as well as the grounds, they generally show you a movie about their timeshare, then they talk with you and work out numbers. They will try several times to come up with a "deal" that you will like. After saying no about 4 times, they will then go get their manager who will then have to try and get you to buy by giving you a lower rate, etc. etc. It is just a big hassel in my opinion. If I am going to go on vacation, I want to relax and have a good time, not be hassled into something I just don't see being worth it.

My family and I actually attended a presentation for a time share. We were only supposed to be there for two hours but they finally left us go after four! It was horrible. As a matter of fact, they almost convinced my mom to buy one but I told her it was a scam. Who in their right mind would pay hundreds of dollars each year just so you could stay "free" in some apartment for two weeks. The only good thing that came our of that presentation was the discounted tickets to Disney World and the free breakfast.

I have and depending on where you go, they will offer all kinds of free stuff. One time in the Cocoa Beach area, I went to one and they gave me a free hotel night stay and free tickets to Disney World for me and my husband. It takes a few hours for the whole presentation but if you keep holding out to the person trying to get you go, they will offer more and more stuff.

We've done it, but ultimately felt it wasn't worth it. They do fairly hard sell, and just try to break you down, because you want to leave so bad. But wait, there's more.... On the other hand, you can get some pretty nice vacations or other gifts out of them. Just remember, their whole job is to sell, and the vacation or other is their advertising. We did one in Tahoe, and they kept telling us that it was such a great deal on the time share because they didn't have any advertising expenses. I asked them what they called the $50 they gave us to listen to their shpiel was considered, if it wasn't advertising. Unfortunately, they still wouldn't shut up.

properly basically like in Vegas they are VERY PUSHY! Westgate motels is the inventor of the extreme rigidity timeshare presentation. So be arranged for a lot of rigidity, and to be there for a lot and that i mean a lot longer than ninety minutes. I unquestionably have had acquaintances, and kinfolk who've been there upwards of three to 4 hours listening to each and every clarification why their ninety minutes became no longer up yet, and pressuring them into procuring. in case you do no longer recommendations basically asserting no, then no, then no, then no back then decide for it. yet there are a number of different good deals around. i'm hoping this permits!

They lure you in with the promise of free gifts/hotel or flight vouchers, then use very high pressure sales tactics once you are there. If you are determined, you can go in, suffer through the presentation and sales pitches, and walk out with your free gifts. Be strong!

I didn't go on a trip but was lured into a tour in Ft. Lauderdale once...at the end of the tour they basically trap you in a room and trun on the high pressure. One of the worst expereinces one can have.

I've never done it, but I know people who have. Sometimes their experience has been good. Other times it hasn't.
