If you're in New York, you should go to St.Mark's place.
Take the 6 train to Astor place and when you get out turn right.
It's the picturesque little street to which all the dark looking people will be flocking.
A good site for nice, cheap T-shirts is www.threadless.com
They often have $10 sales and such.

Outlet stores... Ebay! Google... Oh, and Wal Mart! Target, and Macys... JC Pennys... There are alot.. .Just don't go to like Hollister, or AE... Or A&F... Those are expensive!
