Like? I love Star Wars!!! I can watch it over and over , and still feel like I saw it for the first time. And that is the reason why I love Star wars - because of the feeling I have after watching this movie (all 6 parts) - I feel like a little kid, and it makes me so happy!!!

You have to like star wars. Star wars is a way of life. To hate star wars, is to hate life, which basically makes you nihilistic.
I would actually be a nihilist if star wars didn't exist.
(Nihilism is the belief that all values are baseless and that nothing can be known or communicated. It is often associated with extreme pessimism and a radical skepticism that condemns existence. A true nihilist would believe in nothing, have no loyalties, and no purpose other than, perhaps, an impulse to destroy. While few philosophers would claim to be nihilists, nihilism is most often associated with Friedrich Nietzsche who argued that its corrosive effects would eventually destroy all moral, religious, and metaphysical convictions and precipitate the greatest crisis in human history. In the 20th century, nihilistic themes--epistemological failure, value destruction, and cosmic purposelessness--have preoccupied artists, social critics, and philosophers. Mid-century, for example, the existentialists helped popularize tenets of nihilism in their attempts to blunt its destructive potential. By the end of the century, existential despair as a response to nihilism gave way to an attitude of indifference, often associated with antifoundationalism.)

Easy: yes, the first film, cos I was the right age. It was an unimaginable cinematic experience for an eight-year old in the seventies living in a concrete box new town in wet central scotland.
The new ones looked like pants so I didn't bother. But the first one was astonishing mainly for one thing: the way the film demonstrates relative size. Just the sheer sense of hugeness of stuff that you get makes the movie all on its own.
And I liked the bleeping noises that R2D2 made. I liked bleeping noises all the way up to when mobile phones were invented.

YES!!!! YES YES YES YES YES YES!!!!! I LOVE STAR WARS!!!
Everyone I know agrees, I am obsessed with it. WHY?
Star Wars is something everybody can relate to somehow, and it has many spiritual references and life lessons hidden in it. The making of the movies has furthered moviemaking technology and strategies. It has given ILM a major boost and impacted many people worldwide.
For those of you who DON'T like Star Wars, I don't understand why not, but I WON'T call you names and insult your intelligence like you do to us Star Wars geeks.
Thank you for taking the time to read my entry. Mrs. Codrock, I hope you find a sincere appreciation for Star Wars and I hope you get good answers. Thanks again.

I liked the first Star Wars movie, but I think that it went down hill from there. Probably because after the first one, the expectations were way too high.
The first one is a classic good vs evil story, underdog vs supervillian. It doesn't get any better than that.

Very much enjoy not only the movies but the book series. Fills in alot of the gaps between all the movies. Before, during and after all the movies. The books answer alot of questions from all the movies.
The books are written by several different authors, but all have to get approval before printing. Great timeline in the front of most books.

I love Star Wars ...It is ,as I like to call it, my "Bible" because it actually contains real spiritual teachings based on Buddhism,Tao and Zen philosophy!!! I read a lot so trust me on that. I also learned through it how to control real psy-powers that I already had!!! To me "the Force" is the Divine energy within all of us that we call God. Same thing with Matrix by the way.
Amen
