You cant convert from 1.1 to 2.0 , its a hardware design limitation, you will need a PCI USB2 card for a desktop or a PCMCIA 2.0 card for a laptop

Unfortunately, USB (universal serial bus) is backwards compatible but not forward. That means you can use a USB 1.1 device in a computer that has USB 2.0 but not a USB 2.0 device in a computerthat only has USB 1.1.You could get a USB 2.0 PCI card adapter (for desktops) or a USB 2.0 cardbus PC card for older laptops. However, If you have an older PC, with a slow CPU, you will ever see the difference, so save your money to get a newer PC.

USB is short for "Universal Serial Bus", and comes in two versions - the older, slower 1.1 and the newer, faster, 2.0
Increasingly, external devices will require 2.0 to work properly.
A USB port is generally built-in by the manufacturer, so it can't be removed and replaced... but, for a desktop machine, you can buy a card that will fit in one of the expansion slots in your computer, and provide a number of USB ports at the higher speed.
For a laptop, the easiest solution is a PCMCIA card which fits in the slot on the side of the laptop.
In either case, you can add an external "hub" or "port replicator" to give you more 2.0 USB ports

you'll need to install USB 2.0 card into your computer, if that is what you are asking. A USB 1.1 device will function with a 2.0 port, but at the reduced speed.
