The video must first be saved to your hard drive. You need video capture software to do this. Your burner may have come with this software. next, it needs to be burned to the cd with burning software which you also probably have. Make sure you capture it in the right file format, Then burn it in the right file format. This will depend on how you want to view it. I.E. if you want to view it on any dvd player you need to burn it with the right file format.

You'll need a video capture device to save the video to your hard drive. A simple $40 K-World DVD Maker will do the job. It is a USB device that hooks into the USB port and the "Audio in" port of the computer. The other end requires 3 (1 red, 1 white, and 1 yellow) RCA patch cords that will attach to your camcorder. It also comes with the software that you will need to capture video to your hard drive and then burn to DVD's. After you have "captured" your video to the hard drive you can add titles, credits, and transitions to your videos using Microsoft's "Movie Maker" which can be downloaded from Microsoft for free, if you don't already have it in your version of Windows XP.
