Just last night, and then again this morning, as soon as the printer stopped printing the computer crashed. The tray at the bottom of the screen showed the Printer to be active. It usually disappears at the end of a print job.
My computer would not turn off so rebooting is out of the question.
I know it is bad for the computer, but I wound up having to unplug everything, then start it up again.
What can I do and how do I do it?
Thank you'
Hope

try to remove the program and install it again ... you can go to the site where the printer is from like HP... then make sure you have the latest drivers for the printer that would be recognize by your computer and no crash again.

Chances are your printer software/drivers are damaged, try remove the software, unplug the printer, install the software again, it should prompt you to plug the printer cable in and continues.

click initiate, click all courses, click administrative kit, click amenities. See if LexBCE is there- double click it and click the drop down menu to disable it. On that amenities checklist is print spooler. Double click it and click handbook. if that doesn't end the crashing you could decide for disable and then turn it back on. considering the fact which you're no longer making use of Lexmark now, you could disable something from the Lexmark printer in amenities and turn it back on later in case you go with for to.
