The universe and all it entails is all brought about by mathematical principles. You can integrate math with virtually any subject. Examples? Here are a few.
Home economics- Doubling fractions in recipes.
Physics- Loaded with math. Use mathematics to prove the laws.
Language and/or Reading- To stimulate comprehension, have students figure out how many of a list of required books they enjoyed by percentage, write a paper on books they have read and maybe even figure out the probabability of the next book to be added to the list using laws of probability. You need, of course to have the difficulty in reading and math to match the other and also the age and ability of the students.
Social Studies- Have students figure out percentages of cultures using the english language, per capita population statistics, and probability to estimate growth, or how many different types of money is used in the world, etc.
Writing- Have students write an essay using words instead of numbers to figure out a determinant (presuming they understand the concept, of course) or stating how to determine percentages or to write out certain laws of mathematics in paragraph form. Written proofs can also be used to demonstrate inductive or deductive reasoning.
Hope the examples help.

Integrating math with english:
Your English teacher makes you read "A Tale of Two Cities" ...about 170 pages. Youve read the first 10 pages in about 15 minutes but it's REEEEAAALLLY boring so you decide to que up some music on your Ipod to listen to while you read. Now, you only have 4 hours of music on your Ipod sooo... Do you have enough music to last until you finish the book? And if not, how many more minutes of music do you need to download to get through this boring book? (hint: remember, you've already read 10 pages)

Children can count whenever possible when standing in line transitioning they can count how many children are in line this way when you come in and go to other areas of the center you have all your children, you can count the place setting when setting the table, when planing you can count how many going to a certain areas, how many girls we have today, and boys how many are wearing a color or jeans or tennis etc. Count the days of the week, add numbers to the areas and the children will implementing them into play for instance you add number one to housekeeping they will get one place setting one doll etc. Also let them count in Spanish also Steve and Gregg have excellent music for this counting the number rock, you can play this at large group or circle time.Teachers in the areas can implement this also if for example you have distinguished counting in all areas the teacher in the art area can ask the children to count the numbers of different paints they used at the easel or making a collage and write the number on the paper for the teacher to used as an observation this also helps to teacher to know which children can count correctly and using the environment for this.

ok - i created a do-it-yourself wallmaking kit which uses synthetic fibers. as a project we asked how what percentage of the world fiber market is synthetic, what percentage is wool, cotton, etc.
if fibers cost us $0.15 /kg, and there are 30 g in each kit, much fiber do we need to import for an initial order of 10,000 kits. how much willit cost us.
(by the way - the kits integrate with arts; and history - we could make flags from different nations; language - write story about rug making in various parts of world; etc
