The most sad movie I love so much is The Color Purple Message In The Bottle Limitation of Life My Girl ( Anna Chlumsky and Macaulay Culkin ) a TIME to kill Bambi The Heiress ( so depressive) Mystic River A Walk To Remember and The Notebook and FINALLY, Edward Scissorhands (CRY and laugh at the same time)

Yes, I have to agree with whomever said that Indian movies make you cry... they are very obvious, but they get to you nonetheless...

for classics, I would definitely go for Casablanca... oh my God what a love story...

also, The Lovers on the Bridge (Les Amants Du Pont Neuf) a French movie...

This is just a few that come to my mind just now... there are many more sad movies that are great!

I was talked into seeing Joy Luck Club with my mother and sister. People were weeping so loudly during parts of the movie, that other people were shushing them.

There were more puffy eyes walking out at the end of that movie than at a hayfever convention.

Oh, and Pay It Forward nearly made me cry and I'm a cold hearted bastard.
