Buy a gibson online, The Guitar store. Get one which has an electric pick up on it, spend at least 300-500, to get a good one which you will not out grow.

Try any good and trusted music shops. You can shop online also. Some good guitars can also be found in pawnshops. I bought my first electric guitar, a Gibson Les Paul, from a pawnshop.

toys r us has 20 dollar guitars, for starters, and music stores, pawn shops have used ones and don't forget Walmart
