Humor- go for the discworld series by Terri Pratchet (it starts with "the colour of magic")
horrifying: "something wicked this way comes"
Disturbing: "The Lovely bones"
stuff to make you cry at the end: "all quiet on the western front"
New age thinking: "Stranger in a Strange land"
weirder than weird: "breakfast of champions"
entriguing: anything from "Sherlock Holmes"
Good luck, and happy reading!

ERAGON. I found Eragon in a borders and thought it was cool so i started reading it. I got so hooked and i read it. It is 497 pages long, but really good. It is the 1# new york times best seller and book sence book of the year. Its fantasy but everyone loves it. I know people who have read it over and over again they love it so much. Eragon is the answer. www.alagaesia.com and www.eragonmovie.com to learn about it. Its a trilogy. Eldest is after it. The author is making the third one still. Also, they are making a movie about Eragon. It comes out in december 15. So if you read it by then, you will enjoy the movie to its fullest.

Anything by Matthew Reilly. All of his books take of from either the first page or by the fourth page and continue throughout the entire book. Or something by Jack DuBrul who has a series of books that are mystery/thrillers. Enjoy!

Well, it depends on your age. If you are a high-reading-level teen or adult I would recommend Left Behind by LaHaye Jenkins. I would also recommend The Solitaire Mystery by Jostein Gaarder.
Left Behind is a Christian-themed novel, but people of any religion will enjoy it. The Solitaire Mystery can be confusing, but it's worth it. Both are quite lengthy...be sure to read to the end!

Relic By Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child; it was a really good book. It was filled with lots of action and suspense. I also love anything by James Patterson, especially the Alex Cross books.

hmm...most of the books i read are for girls...so probably SANCTUARY...it starts off with a lady running away from her home....she stops around, and you find out she has a husband she doesn't want to leave, but she has to...that's like the beginning of it...it catches you because you want to find out more....the story is SO good....East of Eden is good too...hope this helps!
