If you have a goal start by creating a place for your dream. If you don't already have one open a savings account and get it attached to your checking account. Next every time you deposit a check take 10% of the total amount and put it into your savings.
Tell yourself everything in savings STAYS in savings. It's not fun money, it's not grocery money. It to save for the long term.
Once you have a few thousand look into more long term investing plans; purchase some mutual funds shares, buy a rental property. The best part is once you have savings you can create a new gaol and do something sith it to create more wealth in your life.
The main point here is take ACTION and create a vision. Once you create the vision your mind will find ways to fulfill it.
Write down your goal and review it often to see how you're doing.
Good luck.

Turn off all of your electric appliances when you go to work, unplug your tv and computer before leaving. When grocery shopping, bring coupons and always look for the cheapest stuff. If you buy the Publix brand instead of the commercial brands you'll save a lot of money. Remember to change the air filters in your air conditioning because if they're clogged up the A/C will run more with less air. Try and be a smart shopper, don't buy an expensive lamp when all you need is a lightbulb if you know what I mean. Don't eat out as much, too.

The best way is to cut out the fat, and don't live beyond your means. I am an accountant in Vegas and my husband just spent his whole paycheck at the Suncoast Casino over sex. I was tired from a back surgery. So he gambled away our opportunity to eat and pay the power bill for the next two weeks. I get paid once a month. He didn't have to do that. So, in keeping with your goals, cut out anything you like whatever it is. I mean, treat yourself once a week to something you like and bank the rest. If it's chocolate, buy a candy bar once a week. A Red Bull? Once a week. Nylons? More than once a week if you are me! Are you a man? Walk past the Sports Bar and don't look back. Make meals at home and don't eat out. Pack a lunch. If anybody razzes you, say you are shooting for the mansion on the hill. Before you know it, the money will be there before you know it. Good luck.

Put away $50.00 a week. Cut costs where necessary: bring lunch to school/work, eliminate purchasing coffee at Starbucks, carpool to school/work or ride your bike to save money on gas, eliminate costly entertainment - find out what your town offers for free!

Watch what you spend and try not to spend as much and put a few bucks back each week and if you smoke cigarettes or drink alcohol try to stop and then you will be surprised how much you will save then.

Pack lunches from home, shop frugally using coupons, carpool, walk, ride a bike to where you are going, cancel cable if you have it, cut back on electricity use.
The best way to stick to a budget is to allot yourself so much a week. When that money is gone, it's gone.
