if the piercing completely healed, then no, it will never close up entirely. It's a scar.

If your piercing never truly healed, say for example, you removed your piercing studs early and the back of your ear kept closing up, then it will close up eventually, it just takes a really long time.

If you regret every piercing your ears and want it healed permanently, your best bet is to see a plastic surgeon, they can open up the hole and stitch it back shut so that it closes or do a skin graft. That's the method they suggested to a friend after a babysitter accidentally ripped a hoop out of her ear.

i'd say determine you're taking out the earring that become interior the hollow first of all. additionally counting on the region of the peircing and how long you have had the piercing it would close interior a month or so. in case you have had the piercing longer than a million 365 days, I dont think of you're turning out to be plenty success with it final.

I'm trying to close up my ear too. I've just left an earring out for 4 months now and the hole is starting to fade. Me mum left earring out of her ears for a long time and now you can't even tell it was pierced in the first place.

depending on the gauge is going to determine how fast it closes up, but the thing is you're always going to have that dimple from the initial peircing. i've used polysporin to help heal my peircings.

FIRST OF WHERE IS THE PIERCING? IF IT IS ON THE NOSE OR EARLOBE IT WON'T CLOSE...THE BACK WILL SHUT UP WITH A THIN LAYER OF SKIN OVER THE TOP BUT YOU WILL ALWAYS BE ABLE SEE IT....NOW IF IT IS ON ANOTHER PART OF THE BODY.THAT'S A WHOLE ANOTHER QUESTION BUT I'M NOT GOING TO INTO THAT NOW
