ok i had a post asking about getting pregnant on my period, and from all the research and advice from ppl it's kinda hard to believe that i'm not?! well it's been a week and i dunno if it's too soon to tell. I would take a blood test but i dont have the money for that right now. so how much longer should i wait to take a urine test? i'm tempting to go get one now but if i do i feel like it could be non accurate. advice is highly appreciated!

It really all depends on HGC in your body at this point. I believe that Im pregnant. My mother, my boy friends mother, Both say they believe im pregant. I have taken 5 tests to date (urine tests that is) and they all are coming back negative. If i am pregnant this would b the 9th week and still might be too early to tell. As well as the fact that im on Depo Provera birth control, i was informed that that may increase or decrease the birth hormone in your body. So you should go to a Planned Parenthood center near you...or a county hospital or free clinic can give you a blood test. Also University Hospitals such as the Univesity of Chicago. Are obligated to treat you if you have a unborn child REGARDLESS IF HEALTH INSURANCE OR FINACIAL issues, if you have reason to believe you are pregnant and feel they will not treat u to do those reasons, go to an emergency room ;-)....Good luck !!! best wishes!!!!

I'm confused.....you're LATE a week....or it's been a week since you had sex? If you're late a week, take a home pregnancy test. If it says negative....take another one in another week if you are still late. If it's only been a week since you had sex...well it's too soon to tell. You should wait until you're late for your period at least a day. The tests that you can take 4 days sooner than you're period is due is not real accurate. It can still give you a false negative and you can still be pregnant. Since you don't have a lot of money, it's not smart to keep buying pregnancy tests. You can also go to Planned parenthood...they do urine tests for free.

Keep in mind, that you had to have ovulated during your period to get pregnant then. Normally that's rare, since your period is the signal that you're egg didn't get fertilized. Most women ovulate 2 weeks before their period. Good luck

So many of my friends have purchased a test then the next day have gotten their periods.

Buy a test or at least read the package. If you follow their directions, not just something you read from us on-line, you will be fine.

If you didn't want to get pregnant then make sure you protect yourself (from more than pregnancy) until you know for sure!

You can buy over the counter pregnancy test at the drug store. First Response has a brand out that you can detect pregnancy as early as 4 days before your period is due. Over the counter test are the same as the pee test done in the doc office. If you have ?'s as the pharmisist at the drug store. But also remember.. you can be late, if stressed, sick etc. As well. you may not ovulate each month,

You're supposed to wait until the first day of your missed period. (i.e. if your period is due July 1, you can test July 1). There are some tests out there that say you can test a few days before your missed period (I think EPT makes one of them). I tested about a week early with both of my kids, and got accurate results.

There are a lot of tests out there that detect early pregnancy. You shouldn't test any sooner than the first day you are late to start your period

I would wait another week and then take a home pregnancy test if it's negative wait one more week (if you haven't gotten your periodyet)(total 2 weeks) and if you are still late and the tests are negative see a doctor.
