... and the answer is ... NO!

"Rainbow" is the English word assigned to the dispersion of natural light into its component wavelengths and colors. If light is being dispersed - say its raining and the sun is out - and there are no English speaking people anywhere to see it, then it would never be called a "rainbow", and hence, the "rainbow" would not exist.

Light is dispersed naturally. What that phenomenon is called requires a human involvement.

(... a different take on your question ... but in reality, a rainbow is a rainbow - aren't they beautiful? Do you know what a rainbow is an eternal symbol of? )

This is like the question "If a tree falls in a forest, and nobody is around to hear it, does it make a noise?". Of course there is a rainbow. Of course the tree makes noise.
Everyone sees a different rainbow. This is because of the different position they are in. Just because you are not there to see the bow, doesn't mean it is not there. If sunlight hits a triangular prism, doesn't it still make the colors of a rainbow?

A rainbow exists because the receptor (eye) is at the correct angle to receive the prismatic reflection from the light source. I suppose a rainbow could exist if wild animals were the only things around to see it, but they'd just go about their business anyway.

Yes, because a rainbow is light refracted through rain. If you were close enough, you could see an image on a white card of the rainbow.

I can't see your brain.

But I presume that it exists.

Though you are giving me cause for doubt.
