If you have a good relationship with your parent(s), you should express your feelings to them. If not, consider a grandparent or uncle/aunt/cousin to talk to about this subject. It's important for you to express your feelings. The people who are closest to you will have the answers you need (not random people here in Yahoo..... although we do care :)

Don't be scared.... even consider talking to your brother about it!

It sure is hard to have a loved one leave. You sure sound like a caring sister. Your brother is going to participate in one of the most noble things anyone can do, and you should be so proud of him.
It sounds like you have some time to spend with him before he goes. I suggest making the most of it by spending a lot of quality time together doing memorable things. Maybe go on a hiking trip, or some mini-vacations and have real fun together.
Your friends might not be as mature as you are, and it's really not their fault. Perhaps they have never experienced someone leaving them, and they don't know how it feels.
Best wishes to your brother and you.

I understand that you are afraid. It is a big step and a big change.

Even if he weren't going to the airforce but to a distant college it would be a big change because it changes your life at home as well. It is perfectly alright to be afraid of this change.

Because you know you'll miss him even if he sometimes annoys you. That's the normal brother-sister-thing ;-)

What do your parents say - are they as unsure as you are?

Can't you speak with them? Or even better - himself? Maybe you'll find some mailfriends who are in a similar situation. Good luck!

Aw, I'm sorry...it's hard to let go of family into dangerous things...but the best solution is to talk to your brother about how you feel. It's good for him to now that you are concerned. The reason for your friends not being open to your things is probably because none of them can apply themselves to your situations and none of them can relate. I would really suggest talking to your bro about this.

Tell your brother how you feel about it and that you don't want him to go and if he dose still go tell him to write you a letter every other day and write him back.
