I think they're coming in through a crack between the slab and the bottom of the wall in the dining room, although I see them in the bathrooms, too. They come in a die and vacuuming them up is just nasty. I'm thinking there must be millions of them under the slab if this many of them are coming into my house. Ick!

If you have trash, leaves, etc around the base of your home, clear it away and try to keep the area dry. Also if the Crack is not wide you can fill it with CAULKING, silicone or acrylic, from a hardware store. If it is a wide crack you may want to use a expanding foam sealer or place a board sealed around the edges with caulking.

If you've got those guys, you've probably got a few other kinds of bugs you can't see just yet like roaches, termites, etc. Go to Walmart and by their $6 gallon jug of insecticide and spray it in all the corners, cracks, crevices, and around your house. That should hold them off till you can afford to get terminix out there.
