I did not like how the crowd booed him when he exited the field during the Brazil - Australia match. He deserves more respect than that. He plans to retire after the world cup. He has contributed greatly to football (soccer) and the popularity of the Brazilian team. He was a key player in helping Brazil to win the last world cup. In my books he is and will be one of the greats like Maradona and Pele.

Just like all the football players Ronaldo has had his time. Of course the thought that he can make a come back and be as good as he used to be is rather questionable. However I doubt that, he is getting old and fat, remember El Fenomeno>El fatso

I dont think he should retire...just needs to sit down and assess how hes playing and also get shut of all the demons in his head cos he seems mentally unstable at the moment.
Ronaldo really is a great talent..and everybody has off days...he will bounce back

He's not half as lively as he was a few years ago. Half the time he looks in a dream world - but he was a little better today in the game with Australia.

No...I think he's just going through a weird patch.

yes. he is having dizzy spells, his speed is halved- did u c him in the game against croatia- he was standing around looking what everybody else was doing, never hustling for the ball, just jog here and there- he either needs to take a break or retire all together

He shouldn't retire. The Brazilian manager is the one who should see if he's good enough to help the team or not.

Yes he should, he looks tired, uninterested in the game and out of shape, there must be plenty of good young players out there who would be more than a match for him instead
