We haven't cloned any downright extinct animals yet, because most of them either have no extractable DNA remianing or have no living relatives close enough to use an an incubator. As for people, the ethical controversy is too big to condone any experiments. We've coloned most domestic animals, though.

I have heard talk of trying to do this ever since Jurassic Park came out. But, I not sure it has been done. One of the concerns of Cloning People is the Clone being used for Body parts. SO, IF, a person has been Cloned, we would not hear about it, due to the Controversy.
Many schools have clone little things like Lizards and maybe Frogs as Science Projects for study in this area. It think "Lucy" the "Geep" was the largest animal cloned and I believe she has been the longest living, she died, not remember when.
Guess that was "Dolly" and she was a "Sheep", got her mixed with "Lucy" the Neanderthal or whatever she was.

The latest cloning was of a mule which was a "big" success, pun intended.
Dinosaurs can't be cloned because there is no live subject to clone off of (and DNA is missing)
Extinct animals won't work unless they have a preserved dead body etc.
People is banned by international law that every country signed.
Also remember, the cloning process doesn't mean magically another animal is made out of thin air to be exactly the same as the other. It has to be born, go through the same life cycles etc. So its really not the same yet.

They have been able to clone some plants, a sheep in which the result was a lamb with the name dolly, and right now they r working on cloning the wooly mammoths. They r taking out their embryos and then implanting them into the elephants. and who knows? soon enough elephants might give birth to those creatures once again. Its illegal to clone people. thats just like making another frankestein.

lols, dolly the sheep is one of the most famous ones ever cloned, because it is the exact replica of the original, but one flaw in making clones is that its life span is way shorter than the original, it is not a "perfect copy" as the clone will die before the original, their growth is also increasing at an alarming rate i believe, making them die sooner
