Rules:
# A yellow card is carry over, and 2 yellow cards equal a red and a 1 game suspension.
# A yellow card is carry on during the first and second phase of the tournament (first round and round of 16).
# For the quaterfinals is a clean start for all the players, except for a red card.
# Begining the quaterfinals the yellow cards are carry on, until the end of the tournament. And at the end of the tournament all the yellows cards are reset, except:
* If a player gets a second yellow card, in the final game in which his team participated, he will carry over the punishment to the next international game of his team, when he plays (he has to be
in the team roster).
* If a player gets a red card, in the final game in which his team participated, he will carry over the punishment to the next international game of his team, when he plays (he has to be in the team roster).

If a yellow card is issued it means the player cannot play in the next match, two yellow cards in one game means instant dismissal from the pitch and a red card

In a regular soccer game, it's only for that game. But in the World Cup, it can play against you if you get the first one in the first game and then get another one in either the second or third game. If that happens then the player has to sit out in the second round.

A player gets a one-game suspension if he sees TWO yellow cards, not necessarily in the same game.
Should he see two yellow cards in different matches he won't be avaliable to play in the following match.
If the player is issued two yellow cards in the same game he will be immediately sent off from that match and will be unavaliable to play in his team's following match.
If a player only sees one yellow card nothing will happen really.

years if its looked after, I suppose it has to do with how many times its brought out of the pocket. If you get the cheap paper or card ones the can crease and therefore water can get into them and they go soggy. I should get a plastic laminated one or a solid plastic type, the should last for ever..lol
