Not at all, hooliganism has been pretty much stamped out, in the top flight and at international level anyway. There will always be people making trouble but the majority of fans are families and the middle classes so trouble is kept to a minimum (maybe they kick off when they can't find parking??) Millwall fans still fight but now they just attack people outside the grounds and on the other six days of the week.......I have not seen the movie but I used to go to Chelsea as a kid in the 80's and it sometimes got preety crazy! I saw a man in a relly clean and neat suit throw a dustbin through a car windscreen once.........

No. Football clubs in the UK have, over the last few years, made a lot of effort to weed out the trouble-makers. If you are caught causing violence, thuggery, or hooliganism (or chanting racist remarks) at football matches, the clubs will impose a life ban on you, both at home and abroad. As for Millwall FC, I feel they have strived hard to eradicate the hooligan element from their ranks. In fact, I have never met a Millwall supporter who was hell-bent on aggro. They wanted to create a family-friendly atmosphere at their games, and seem to have succeeded. You shouldn't believe all you read in the press.

No where near as bad as it was - Football Factory was a good film but not the best film ever - the two Septic Tanks who answered your question above are the ones who need to get a life - if they do not like "soccer" as they call it, then what the hell are they doing on this forum?

it's not as bad, but racism is bad. fans throwing bananas at black players and chanting monkey at them have caused players, included samuel eto'o to pick up the ball and attempt leave the match. as for the guy above that said soccer is for drunks who can't play other sports, I wanna try to see him run non-stop for 90 mins and have such complete body control as the players in the world cup have... chances are he'd fall over his own two feet when walking
