I am a respiratory therapsit who deals with pre term babies and the odds would be slim to ok for your baby with the new technology. It would also have a good chance of having some lung problems or deveolpmental issues. You want to keep that baby in you as long as you can any way you can. If he/she was born today the baby would be in the hospital until he/she is 13 weeks old. Not worth it.

its possible but there are alot of factors that you need to take into account. Given the age of the baby at this point the lungs, heart, brain have not fully developed yet and there's a good chance that if they were outside of the womb and forced to breathe on their own right now their bodies wouldn't be able to handle it causing them to not survive. I suggest talking to a doctor just to be sure since I have no obvious medical background. The human spirit even a childs is a hard thing to predict and I wish you the best of luck throughout your pregnancy and once you have your baby as well.

Hi! I am 23 weeks pregnant myself, so I must say congratulations to you! When I was 11 years old, my mother was pregnant with my brother. She developed toxemia, the most severe case missouri has seen, she delivered my brother c-section when she was 28 weeks. He was only 1pound and 13 ounces, the doctors said most of the babies are usually 3 pounds. He was in the ICU for 2 months and came home on Christmas Eve. He is almost 16 years old and a big ol boy now! A good book for you to get that may help answer and jitters or other questions is What to expect when you are expecting. It is a great book, I got mine from my ob doctor. Good luck to you and God bless you and your baby!!! latricia

As a doctor i can tell you no it will most probably wont survive. The longer you keep him inside you the better he has a chance to live when he is out.In extreme cases if the baby is taken out and is at least 28 weeks old then it has some chances of survival but if there is some critical circumstances hazardous to the mother's life.Otherwise all doctors will tell you let him stay in your womb the maximum possible

It would be tragic 'cos the baby will have 2 spend some time in a incubator like what Michael Jackson does in an oxygen tank n you will have to be very rich 2 afford it. Why r u thinking awkwardly? It's not good for a "P" woman.

Baby is viable at 24wks. This does not mean the baby will live though. Anything can happen at any week. You just need faith. A couple I went to school with had one early. Probably somewhere on file at the Cleveland Clinic.

I believe that the baby would probably live. He/She would be small of course, and may have some problems starting out. I have a cousin who weighed less than 2 lbs at birth. He made it and is a very smart kid.....he's just a little small......still....he's 10 now. Good Luck!!! And Congrats!!
