i don't think they will and i don't think they should it's brilliant as it is it's called 24 cos it goes on for 24 hours in real time how could they make that into a movie?

They are going to make the movie but it won't happen over a 24 hour span like the TV show.

don't know... think it would suck as a concept and isn't really necessary

they would of course have to name it after the running time (2:24 perhaps, if it was a just-about-acceptable 144 minutes long)... best if it started with a phone call waking jack from the first sleep he's had in 5 series ;-) no explanation or anything, whispered mention of a particular threat..... and a long, run-lola-run steadicam shot of him bolting from the house and pegging it off on a chase for some bomb or something. credits appearing over this first part, some urgent incidental music playing.

film ends with the bomb detonating despite his best efforts, with keifer sutherland sitting on top.
no disrespect to the guy, but i thought dragging it out pas the first series was already starting to overplay the concept. it's the hollywood concept of sequel milking.... the film may be awful and get poor reviews, but so long as it still just about turns a profit, it counts as a success. if you kill jack, you might just kill the show, finally.

Maybe if they make it a movie, they will call it 3 -as in three hours. Who's going to sit through a 24 hour movie?

Have seen Keifer interviewed on the Jonathan Ross Show, (UK TV) and he said that they would make a movie, but may be flexible with the 1hr realtime=1hr moveietime thing. It may involve some scenes in London

It would make an excellent movie - but only if they did it well. 24 is a love it/hate it thing. I guess it's too much of a gamble for film companies, who just look for guaranteed profits.
