It could be a call box as well - some do not accept incoming calls, to stop people making reverse charge calls to it.

However, I agree that you should contact Cable and Wireless, bt and your phone company and ask them to put a bar on it. You could also ring the police and report nuisance calls. You would need a log of when the calls are coming, and what (if anything) is said.

Good luck - I hope the calls stop soon, with Yahoo's help!

I know that the 020 7395 code covers central London - WC1 - but it is quite extensive (includes Holborn, Oxford St and Covent Garden)
If this number is really driving you mad, you should be able to get your phoneline provider to put a block on incoming calls from that number.
Or next time they call, just answer the phone a give them a Huge piece of your mind - I would.

A reverse cell phone lookup service I have used is http://www.youtips.info/r/rd.asp?gid=179

Enter the number in the system and they will tell you a lot of informations about the phone number and the person who owns it.
If they have extra details you will have to pay for the report.
Free reverse phone lookup sites generally don't provide anything interesting. To get further information, money will have to be paid. The free searches do not provide much more than what can be found through the phone book.
The best thing is that you can get informations about anyone!!

It's probably a call centre trying to sell you something. Report it to your phone provider; in Britain there are laws to protect you from these things; you can add your number to the 'telephone preference service' register, making it illegal for these companies to ring you without invitation.

Sometimes you can receive calls from fax machines on-the-blink too, and you can't phone those back.
