Yes there are only a certain number of notes but there are different keys. Also there are thousands of different instruments all with different sounds, notes and possibilities so we will never run out of music. As well as notes there are sounds, noises and effects.
Instead of seeing notes as a limitation, why not see them as a starting point for experimentation? Take for example the band Pantera, Dimebag Darell didn't tune his guitar to the exact pitch. he tuned it 3/4's flat of standard tuning.
So, if you look at notes and music without limitation, music will never run out and it will never get boring.

There are a lot of notes, plus special effects to be done with the notes. I think the limit is only our imagination. Besides notes are just ways we recognize certain frequencies. Who knows what the future may bring.

We may run out of notes, but we'll never run out of textures, timbres and rhythms. Believe me, it's a lot harder to run out of music than you think. Tunes with the same melody can be made to sound completely different by using different instruments, and layering patterns.

Listen to the quality of music these days. We ran out of GOOD tunes years ago!

I don't know. We have basically been reusing the same materials ever since Johann Sabstain Bach composed.
