Avoid the beach?

If you live near a popular tourist beach area, do you find that you avoid the beach most of the summer? I live close to Virginia Beach and I never go...if I do decide to go to a beach, it's usually to Buckroe Beach in Hampton or all the way to the Eastern Shore.

I`m kinda lucky,live near a landfill,not many tourists here.I used to wear a pin on my costue at the Renfaire"If it`s tourist season,why can`t we shoot`em"
