Just speak up and order what you want. Why are you afraid to get what you want? You have as much right to eat out as he does. Don't be such a meek little mouse.

You are normal and not over romantic. Any wife would expect her husband to make a fuss over her, i. e. what she would love to have. The eat-out was his show. Since he is not romantic do the reverse where you can, at home. Fuss over his liking, make surprise dishes for him, and please him in your privacy . Think about what we can do rather than expect from others. Then you will have done your part.

Why does he have to ask you? That's stupid. What else is he suppose to do other than order his "own" food. Can't you form your own opinion?
