how come usa come in 5th? There are more country that are stronger than usa and usa doesnt even have any good or popular soccer player. And how does usa qualify for 2006 world cup?

A computer that looks at past games and statistics. Hence the US ranking. I am from the US and I as well as anyone else knows that the US does not deserve their raking. Mexico either. Look at who the US play and look at any Europe team and who they play. Yeah US can score 4 goals on a concacaf team but not on a European team. US needs to play and beat European teams and other World powers to be able to be ranked as high as they are.

Ivory coast was a pretty strong team, especially w/ drogba... it was unlucky that they had such tough competition but I guess that's the way it goes for placement. Anyway, I'm glad that they were put up on the list as high as could be for not even being able to qualify for the Round of 16. I kinda feel that based on WC preformances, though I love Argentina, Brazil and Ghana should have been ahead of them... again, I LOVE ARGENTINA, exvept the 4-0 defeat against Germany doesn't prove that they should be ahead of Brazil who lost (was it 2-0) agains the 2nd place team.
