I enjoyed reading The DaVinci CODE and I think the movie was in keeping with the book.

On a scale of one to ten, as a mystery/historical type novel it was probably a seven and a half.

I read the Rule of Four and that was about a six, but that was good too.

Let's face it, none of us lived in Jesus' time period so why swat at flies and theorize?
The story makes it's case pausable.
I loved art the aspect because I am an artist.
I love symbols.

But I don't buy into any church presently having pure unadulterated motives where translations of scripture are concerned.

I don't believe any translator was not pressured/affected by cultural, family or church authorities.

I think, I reason, I rationalize, I theorize, I engage in philosphical dicussions and ponder books of wisdom and Jesus' quotes and make the best of my journey here that I can.

My conclusions and inspirations are just as imaginative or reasonable as any other person's.
I have studied art, music, dance, education, healing, graphoanalysis, writing, poetry, theatre, moral and spiritual theology...so I am not totally ignorant and what can I say...if you listen, if you evaluate, if you seek only TRUTH...I believe you will find it and the peace to live with any of your discoveries and not let every theory in the world turn your spiritual and emotional core upside down....making you feel threatened or angry.

Good journeying!
Lil

Ok, heads up...I have cracked the code within the Code. Open the book...it says Page 1 at the top, yes? Then, if you look, it says Page 2 on the next, one higher than the previous, huh? But NOW, look at Page 3...one higher again. Do you see a pattern here? A 'code'? And, for sure, the Church has covered this up for centuries. Why oh why can't we just know the truth...?

I expect Ron Howard and Tom Hanks to be involved in the film, of course...

I think Dan Brown's first novel, Angels and Demons was far superior. As for the Da Vinci Code, it is fiction and its theories on Jesus and Mary Magdalene are nonsense. Would Mr. Brown have the audacity to write a novel about the Prophet Mohammad, and cast aspersions on him? I doubt it. Christianity bashing is the in thing these days.

The story-pace, quality, and style of the movie was very good.
However the movie was pushing a theory that goes against christians, and there is actually more proof telling that Jesus's disciples knew him as divine and immortal.

So if your looking for entertainment I think it is a pretty good movie but if you try to find some truth out of the story theres really no point wasting your time, its a fictional movie

Yes, I read the book and without going into the controversy of truth or false, the book is interesting, I had seen the movie and liked it too. However it doesn't showed many details in the book. May be the time limit was the factor.

I liked it. I read the book and even though there was no way that they were going to get the whole book in the movie, I thought that they did a really great job of getting as much as they could.

I have to say not really. The story was really well researched and I enjoy reading the history behind the story but it was way too fast paced and it seemed like it made connections that were never really there.

yeah..the book was great...an engaging thriller...and daring also, to suggest the mary magdalene issue...(irrespective of whether it is true or not)..credit goes to dan brown for making it believable)..movie did not do justice to the book..if u read the book, u would find the movie bit disappointing..if u havent read the book, then u would find it difficult to understand..All the knights templar, priory of scion would be difficult to absorb in the movie
