Have you ever really looked at a person's face when they use vulgarity? Their face contorts into these wicked shapes. That's the difference. The beauty of their face fades.

Normally cultured people do not use vulgar words however much they may be provoked or angered, They remain cool and either move away from the scene or they may simply order the other person to move away from the scene and not to create any unpleasant scene.Outwardly they are cool
On the other hand people who have been living in uncongenial atmosphere are accustomed to hear and use all kinds of foul languages even at the slightest provocation and some times it is a common usage too. But that does not necessarily mean they are always calm.and cool.
An empty vessel makes a lot of noise.
In any case fowl language does not get respect but if a villain uses it any ordinary person cannot show any protest and may have to lie low and show as if he respects the villain.

I do not. I believe it displays ignorance and only makes one look foolish. I lose respect for such- especially cussing women and teens. But then I'm just an old cuss who has often been a fool myself. However, I found I did not like myself as a foul mouth, so I cleaned up my act years ago. I do not expect the same of all others, but I really respect those who do.

Depends on the context and the choice of words. Someone who swears all of the time for no reason, no. A few well-placed curses properly phased shows a decent command of the language without being afraid of it.

If you use adult language all the time, what kind of language do you use to show people you're angry? And, no, I agree with Professor Charles Xavier of the X-Men: That sort of language betrays a limited vocabulary.

People who use bad language are not skilled communicators. Also, they lack self-esteem and usually have weak personalities.
You know, like a candy toffee. All hard on the outside, but soft and gooey inside.

I don't think they're cool. And of course I respect them less. How hard could it be to find an alternative instead of cussing away every other word? Maybe they need to be re-educated.
