The decorations usually come down during the first week of January. So if you won't be there for the first and second of the month, you won't get to see much.

You'd be surprised how fast those decorations go up and just how quickly they come back down. They are left up until the New Year and then come down completely by about the 2nd week in January. I worked at the Disney MGM Studios one year. One day, there weren't any decorations up. I came into work the next morning and it was as if little elves had snuck into the park overnight and covered the place in Christmas! It was amazing. I usually go every year for my birthday (on Jan 4th) and a lot of the decorations are down already in the parks when I get there on Jan 2nd. I got to see the holiday tree and some of the decorations in Epcot. The resorts still have some of their things up. I believe this year they are keeping up the Osbourne lights in MGM longer and hopefully I will get to see some of the other stuff too!
