Fact: Maryland sends convictions of Out-of-State Drivers back to their home state.
Fact: Out-of-state convictions that show up on a NY MVR are only for drug, alcohol, or fatality related.
So, if it was a speeding ticket, I think you will be fine. As your insurance company is going to order a NY MVR.

Almost all the states report tickets to each other. Usually, you only get half the normal points for an out-of-state ticket.
