I'm an Ann Summers party organiser in the North West of England. What's the best way to get recruits and party bookings? I've done fairly well so far but I would prefer to make a career out of it after I've finished Uni so am always looking to do better.

Another great way if to give out coupons for referrers. If a referrer has collected a stated number of coupons, she'll receive a free gift or a 50% gift certificate from you.
Eg. If a person can refer 5 clients to you, she'll be rewarded with 5 coupons. But say a person need to collect 8 coupons before getting the 50% gift certificate, she'll be driven to get 3 more clients for you.
This way, it's not just getting 8 new clients for you, but you get to sell your products too when she redeems the discount certificate.

"Fish Bowls"
I am a mary kay conslutant and that is what I use to get new bookings. Go to the store and get a actual fishbowl or a cute little box or bag about the size of a 8" fishbowl. Put a cute sign offering a free party, or free prize and one lucky winner of a $10 (or equivelent) gift certificate to the vendor where you put your "fish bowls" out at. I will go around my town and look for vendors that are small businesses and ask them if there was any reason why I couldn't put out a fishbowl and offer a $10 giftcert. to their business. The way I work my giftcerts. is after one month of checking on my fishbowls once a week, and setting up appointments with those people, those that held an appointment are put into a drawing for the giftcert.

Do you play games where you give out small gifts to the winner? me and my mates love ann summers and we been to about 20 of them we take turns to be host and we did notice that for some reason the larger organiser's are the most fun and they really give it 100% which makes us spend more!! everytime we get a thin lady she seems quietly spoken and not fun taking it quite seriously!

Best thing is word of mouth. I would make sure that every party you organize you send a bunch of referral cards to the customer and ask them to refer you. Offering an incentive never hurts either!
