On her Come Away With Me she wrote 3 songs : Come Away With Me, Nightingale, and The Long Day Is Over. The other 11 were written by different people. Don't Know Why, her first hit, was written by Jesse Harris. Cold Cold Heart was written by Hank Williams. Lee Alexander wrote 4 of them.I don't know who wrote the songs on the other CD.
In reference to an above answer, I also heard her father is Ravi Shankar, the legendary sitarist. He taught George Harrison of The Beatles how to play sitar.

norah jones. she also has guidance from her father who is a very famous musician from the 70's. but i can't remember his name. it is an unusual name from india
