I couldn't exactly find any answers to your questions, except for the fact that there's probably a Chinese factory that's willing to manyfacture those handicrafts for you.
My advice is that you make yourself a topographic map for the presentation. Find a map of the world on the internet, and then use M.Word or photoshop to fill in the specific areas that relate to each question (ex. fill in the places that demand your product). this organized presentation will help you convey your message much more easily to the clients.
Remember: Have confidence in yourself when presenting.

Since it is only for a course presentation, I am giving you some guidelines. Please dont use these guidelines to invest money, as this is only a sample

1) Choose a product - you can say Kashmiri Rugs, Sandalwood Idol of Buddha from Kerala, Silk Saree of Mysore etc
2) Sourcing Hubs - Kashmir or Kerala or Mysore
3) Why have you chosen - All are exclusively handcrafted. There is no machinery involved and each one is made only a few peices in its design. it is made by locals (tribals)
4) FOB Value for Kashmiri Rugs can be anywhere between 1000 dolars to 100000 dollars.. FOB of Buddha Idols can be 1000 dollares a price and FOB of Mysore Saree can be around 20000 USD per price
5) Lifecycle - All the producs have life spanning humanlife depending on the use. Idols etc can be decorated for ages in homes
6) Additional facilites attarcting foreign buyer - a)More customization according to peoples needs. Eample a Rug can be in different colors, Buddha idol can be in various sizes, b) Ability to order through the web by providing Internetr ordering facilities c) photographs of the various products d) testomonials e) free samples
7) Demand in very high especially in large malls like Kmar, Walmart etc in USA. Demand in Europe is very high as gift items
8) Profitability of the product - it is a trad, hence you can have a margin of around 20% to 50%.. Dont charge more.. Dont be greedy.. Saleabality of the product - Very Higth. Most visitoes who come do make sizeable purchases of the products

Lastly for presentation, uSe Microsoft Power Point. Choose a Background of the Preesentation like Staue of Buddha, Dancing Nataraja etc and make the presentation in multicolors and it will be great

Good Luck

1) Handicrafts are a group of products that can be exported. Pick out a more specific product like for instance scented candles.

2) Handicrafts come from places with low minimum wages and pour economies like Mexico, India, Thailand, Kenya and any place where labor is cheap.
3) You most likely chose this product because your mother or other relative is a collector of handicrafts.
4) The fob value of these products is usually very low. Products like metal, wood, cloth, wax, plastic and labor are cheep. The price of candle wax is around 1$ per pound. This site will help you start your own candle business.

5) Once these products are produced they will be shipped to distributors and sold.
6) Facilities that sell these products range from quaint little stores to big name retailers. Stores look for the best products at lowest price.
Stores that chose the best products often charge very high prices for handicrafts even on sale. These retailers provide a good environment with nice displays, free gifts and special smells.
The large difference between fob value and retail discourages the smart shopper.
Many stores advertise with value rather then atmosphere they appeal to the costumer with low prices. They often buy left over goods for cheap and sell them at fob value or even less.
7) Demand for handicrafts most in foreign markets is very low, but as the wages go up people may seek goods to give as gifts or better their homes. It's all about convincing people to buy crap they don't need.
8) Americans love to buy crap they don't need, maybe with advertisement, handicrafts can be sold to consumers with extra cash all over the world.
Don't let anyone tell you your crap is crap make it sell. Watch Martha Stewart.
