Try taking her to an aquarium or a zoo, i took my 3 yr old to the aquarium and he loved it. they are inexpensive and can provide a whole day of entertainment for their age. (and you will have fun too)

I agree with the others, the zoo is the best placeto take a 3yr. old. It is educational, inexpensive, and most kids that age have a blast. I'm guessng you live in California so I know it will be hot. Another place to think about might be a place that has some sort of water activities but it doesn't necessarily have to be a water park. If your daughter enjoys the water then it will be the perfect time for a place like that.

HOPE THIS HELPS

try Dutch Wonderland in Lancaster,Pa or even some of Hersey Park.Even try Dorny Park all of these you can find on the web just do a web search.I have been to all of the above except Dorny park but lets say Dutch Wonderland would be good because "it's a kingdom for kids" says there motto

I suggest taking her somewhere she can interact with other children. At that age she just wants to play and have fun!!!

I like to take my niece to a big aquarium store for special occasions and she really loves "finding Nemo", there. Is there a BIG public aquarium near??

The adults should be comfortable and relaxed and let the kids run and play.

Yeah, the zoo or an aquarium would be good. How about a petting zoo?

Follow up with dinner at Chuck E. Cheese.

Those places are for older kids. Maybe next year for Disney Land.
Now, she is going to be happy at a movie or just being with you. The special place is to make YOU happy so choose someplace for you this time that she will also enjoy.

HELLO, she's 3. Time spent at home with a birthday cake and ice cream is very acceptable and way less expensive. How many 3 year olds are even going to remember an elaborate birthday? Basic is best, family time..............

the real question is where do you live?

you could always search for places (as long as you have an idea) on locals.yahoo.com
that always works for me
you should take her to like chucky cheese or gameworks or d&b or something like that. maybe a movie will be appropriate, too. i dont know. your desicion!
