Yes we are over forty and still in love. its not the mad passionate all consuming physical love that's there when your young and have just met, it's more than that it's deeper more mellow, it's knowing what the other is thinking, being able to finish a sentence for them, just knowing how the other is feeling without a word being spoken.

First, when "your" is short for "you are" it is spelled, "you're". Second, it sounds to me like you are doubting your long term relationship. When you are new in a relationship there are lots of sparks and romance and as time goes by, things get more "comfortable" but it is important to keep things spiced up a bit. Not everyday, mind you, but now and then. Little surprises, notes tucked into a lunchbox, flowers for no reason, things like that can go a long way in keeping the sparks. There are some wonderful books out there, "How to Make Love to a Woman" and "How to Make Love to a Man" are excellent books. They talk of surprising your significant other, and ways to do it. Have a nice bath drawn for her, surrounded by candles, and put rose petals in the water and around the tub and stuff like that. Ask yourself everyday, "What can I do to make her life better today?" and after awhile you will see that she is also doing the same thing for you. My hubby loves it when I scratch his back, or just run my hand along his back. Little things make the heart grow fonder. Good Luck.

Absolutely and totally, been married for 22 years now. Life changes people and you have to change together and not drift apart, you have to have time for each other aswell as everything else and dont leave things that bother you, you have to have good communication even if its something thats bad thats going on. We have six kids aswell. Dont let kids divide you, it almost happened to us once but we worked it out. Kids are only there untill they are old enough to leave, then its just you and the wife/hubby/partner.
