The Sims 2 gives you a better, more classic, experience, whereas Bustin' Out is a different kind of game. Personally, I think that Bustin' Out is not a very good game. The Sims 2 offers unparalled customization options and is one of the best games of its kind.
So, I am going to say YOU SHOULD BUY THE SIMS 2.

I would buy Sims 2 because Bustin Out is nothing but an old recreation of the first Sims for PS2 and it is a really boring game you don't have enough things to do in that game to keep you occupied...

Sims2. I'd recommend the PC edition more than the playstation2 edition because you can get expansion packs, download new sims, objects etc. But definatly the Sims2.

in my oppinion you should go for the sims 2, busting out is just a cheap run off game with less to do
