I was injured in a major car accident in 1993, and when pulled from the wreck I had no pulse and no respiration. After many hours in the Emergency room, they finally stabilized me and I spent 2 days in the ICU under guarded condition. It was a close call, but, I came out a bit different, a changed person. I had faced death and walked away with no long term problems, however, I was different.....I now know I was taking things for granted and we are not here forever.

(1) Car accident when I was 17. Got hit by a minivan travelling at 80-100 km/h, spun around a few times and ended up in the opposite direction I started out from. Didn't die though, but I felt the pressure on my heart by the immense G-Force during the spin.
(2) Smoked something called Salvia. Had a hallucination where I envisioned my own death and subsequent funeral and after life as a spirit stuck on earth seeing how my friends and family grieved over me.
(3) Depressing childhood and the results as an adult. I FEEL dead inside, does that count?

i was 12 and my stomach was killing me and everyone thought it was the flu and they werent doing anything about it. i woke up screaming one night and my parents took me to the ER to see what it was, and the nurse said it was just acid reflux and sent me home. the next day we went cause i wasnt getting any better and another nurse said it was flu. my mom didnt believe them and finally they took a blood test and a urine test and figured out that my appendix had popped WEEKS ago and i had about 8 hours to live unless they pulled it out right away. i was soooo scared because the ambulance ride to another hospital took an hour and a half and i just kept thinking 'im dying im dying' and no one was saying anything to me. im okay now except i have a huge scar about 6 inches long on the right side of my stomach that makes me self concious in a bikini, and i cannot do situps without a major pain in my side. we switched doctors after the two bad diagnoses that couldve spared me the pain.
